David Carl Anderson has lived and worked in Oakland County his entire life. He graduated from Southfield High School in 1970. Mr. Anderson was the President of his high school class, a National Honor Society member, a varsity athlete in baseball and hockey, and an Eagle scout. Mr. Anderson has been married for 29 years to his wife, Martha Anderson, who is an Oakland County Circuit Court Judge. Mr. Anderson has one daughter who is a school teacher with the Troy school systems.

In 1974, David graduated Summa Cum Laude from Adrian College. He graduated from Detroit College of Law in 1977 and was a published member of the Detroit College of Law Review. He was admitted to practice law in the State of Michigan in the Fall of 1977. He is the founder and principal of the Law Office of David C. Anderson, P.C. In Troy Michigan. |

Over the past 30 years, Mr. Anderson has maintained an active trial practice throughout the State of Michigan. He has conducted over 100 civil and criminal jury trials. In addition, he performs extensive Alternative Dispute Resolution work and serves as a Mediator and Arbitrator in both the general civil law arena and in the family law arena. In 2006-2007, David was the Chair Person for the Oakland County Bar Association Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee. He frequently speaks and lectures to legal organizations and civic groups regarding ADR issues. He is a member of the Association for Conflict Resolution, Family Mediation Council - Michigan, and is an approved Arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association, handling all types of civil disputes. David is a court approved Case Evaluator, Mediator, and Arbitrator in numerous counties throughout the State of Michigan.

Mr. Anderson is a Sustaining Member of the Oakland County Bar Association and is an Oakland County Bar Association Bar Foundation Life Fellow. He currently serves on the Oakland County Bar Association Board of Directors. He is an active member of the Diversity Committee of the Oakland County Bar Association and is a member of the D. Augustus Straker Bar Association. He is a sustaining member of both the Michigan Association for Justice (f/k/a Michigan Trial Lawyers Association) and the Michigan Defense Counsel. David is a member of the Michigan Association of Vehicle Theft Investigators. He is also a member of the Macomb County Bar Association.

Mr. Anderson is actively involved in his community and presently serves as a member of the City of Troy Elections Commission. He served as the President of the Stoneridge Homeowners Association. He is very active in his church, the Congregational Church of Birmingham, and served as an Advisor for the Mid Youth Fellowship Group. He currently serves as the Attorney for his Church. He also participates in projects with the South Oakland Shelter (S.O.S) and Lighthouse, collecting and distributing clothing, food, and other necessities for the homeless. He spends time working with the Oakland County Chapter of Habitat for Humanity, and with the Oakland County Jail Ministry Program. |
